rgr partners was established in 2006 by Aidan A. Rourke, Darren Goode & Sharon Rourke with three offices in Galway City, Loughrea and Ballinasloe. It is a three partner firm whom have a combined experience in excess of sixty years in the accountancy sector. The partners are young and energetic. rgr partners is a registered member of Chartered Accountants Ireland and is also a statutory audit firm which enables us to carry out statutory audits of corporate and regulated businesses.
rgr partners offers a hassle free service to our clients ensuring all statutory requirements are complied with enabling the client to concentrate on their business. rgr partners take an active interest in all aspects of our clients business and aim to assist them in running and growing their business. We aim to minimise the amount of time that the owner manager dedicates to administration, bookkeeping and accounting functions. Our clients range from incorporated small, medium and large enterprises, professionals, management companies, individuals, farmers and sole traders based all over Ireland.

Aidan Rourke
Managing partner
Aidan A. Rourke A.C.A., C.T.C. QFA is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland since 2006. He commenced as a trainee accountant in 1999. He joined Ernst & Young in 2001 and successfully completed his professional exams in 2005. Aidan obtained 1st place overall in Ireland in his professional accountancy exams in 2001. Aidan is also a Chartered Tax Consultant having being placed third in Ireland in his exams in 2013, is a Qualified Financial Advisor, has a Diploma in Insolvency and a Certificate in Personal Insolvency. Aidan is also a director of the Naomh Breandain Credit Union. Aidan furthered his experience in the accountancy sector prior to establishing rgr partners.

Darren Goode
partner
Darren Goode B.Comm., M.Acc., F.C.A., is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland. He obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from National University of Ireland Galway in 1999 and furthered his education with a Masters of Accounting degree from Smurfit School of Business, UCD in 2000. He was then articled to Ernst & Young a “Big 4” Firm as a trainee accountant and successfully completed his professional exams in 2003. He has considerable taxation experience advising clients having completed the Chartered Tax Consultant course with Chartered Accountants Ireland. He specialises in credit unions along with having an expert knowledge in the equestrian industry. Darren furthered his experience in a number of practices prior to establishing rgr partners.

Sharon Rourke

Sharon Rourke B.Comm., A.C.A., is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland since 2006. She obtained a first class honours bachelor of commerce degree from National University of Ireland Galway in 2001. She was then articled to Ernst & Young as a trainee accountant and successfully completed her professional exams in 2005. Sharon furthered her experience in a number of practices prior to establishing rgr partners.

Grainne Kearney
Audit Director
Grainne Kearney BComm, MAcc, FCA, AITI is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland. She trained in PricewaterhouseCoopers in Dublin and then worked in industry for a number of years. She worked in KPMG Galway office for 18 years as Audit Director level where she gained vast experience, providing financial statement audits, accounting and other related services to privately owned and multinational companies across a large range of industries. Grainne is also an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute having achieved first place in the Part III exams in 2004.

Jemma Starr

Jemma Starr B.B.A.(Hons), A.C.A., C.T.C., is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland. She obtained a bachelor of business honours degree in accounting from Galway Mayo Institute of Technology in 2010. She commenced her training contract with rgr partners in 2012 and successfully completed her professional exams in 2014. Jemma is also a Chartered Tax Consultant, having placed second in Ireland in her exams in 2016.

Fergal Daly

Fergal Daly., F.C.C.A., is a Fellow member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants Ireland. His training background is DHKN Limited in Galway city where he successfully completed his professional exams. In 2017 he joined RBK where he worked as manager in the SME Department and joined rgr Partners in December 2020. Fergal has 15 years’ experience working in Practice and in that time has dealt with clients in construction, agriculture, medical profession, renewable energy, and hospitality to mention a few.

Katrina Crawford

Katrina is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants. She joined Rgr partners in February 2025 after having gained extensive experience in several accountancy practices in Galway and Clare. Katrina has a deep understanding of the numerous challenges facing the self -employed and has the skills and experience to support business owners navigate these challenges.

Nathan Riordan
Manager
Nathan Riordan B.A. (Hons), A.C.A. joined RGR Partners in December 2024, bringing serious experience, a love for smart systems, and a soft spot for clever solutions. A first-class honours graduate in Accounting and Finance, he helped lead his Tallaght IT team to victory in the 2015 Irish CIMA Global Business Challenge — because starting strong is kind of his thing. He’s held senior roles at Meagher Moynihan, Ecovis, and Fenero, where he led a 20+ person team managing 600+ companies. Nathan’s especially curious about how AI is changing accounting — and may or may not have had a digital co-author for this bio.

Laura Rourke
AUDIT Manager
Laura Rourke B.A (Hons), A.C.A is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law & Accounting from University of Limerick in 2013. She trained in the assurance department in PwC in Dublin qualifying in 2015 gaining audit experience across a wide range of charities, fund accounts, private and multinational companies under IFRS and FRS 101/102. She continued to work in PwC San Francisco where she gained a wide experience providing financial statement audits under US GAAP/PCAOB requirements across a large range of industries in both public and private company environments.

Petrina Egan obtained a Batchelor of Business Studies in Marketing (Hons) from Galway Mayo Institute of Technology in 2001. Petrina worked in the accounts department of Kylemore Abbey for several years before joining rgr partners in 2009. Petrina took a career break and rejoined rgr partners in March 2013. During her career break she successfully obtained her Accounting Technician qualification.

Jean Costello B Comm. (Hons) Accounting & Systems Analysis, F.C.A, C.T.C is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland. She has extensive experience in a number of audit practices in Galway. In 2012 she moved into Industry as Assistant Finance Manager looking after the financial reporting requirements of a motor company.
